sorry, i hate to do this but your 100% wrong @traibr very few isp’s give you a static ip. meaning it NEVER CHANGES, most use DHCP to issue you whatever IP you happen to get, rebooting your cable modem/adsl moden will force a ip change. So if you leave your house you have 1 ip, and your power goes out.. you will get a different ip at your house meaning you can’t connect. You can setup cron services to always check your ip and email you when it changes.

oh come on… a modern router?!?! Even my crappy Di-604 has it build in. And there are others just in case ppl think DyDNS is the only one.
no-ip.com, zoneedit.com etc.. just google it.

well, like i said i just doubted it, and i know on many pc’s there’s an icon that says 100mbps, and then again, i posted 6 months ago. we now have gps for our home network…but dam 1 gbps for internet alone…that’s a lot of porn really quick lol. my net sucks…39-70 kbps, depending on if our neighbors are on or not. but i still remember the good ol’ days of dial up. can’t wait to get gbps…prolly be awhile to get all the way out to my house.

@happymerc not necesserally. OptOnline has a 101Mbps plan which is just over 100 bucks (few of my clients use it). I have Verizon FIOS 30Mbps for 25/month (cheated them a bit :P ). And Google is coming out with a Gbps. So….not necesserally crazy.

For fucks sake I wait about half a minute for the video to load then watch it through the intro and then I got to wait for it to load again…

i am doubting 100mbps. that would be between your home network. as for actually dl speed, it is more like 100kbps.
