It just seems unforgivable that a domain with no content can rank so high! Very good example of picking your domain wisely!

many of my keyword searches the top listings are ezine,associated content ,ebay , squidoo, amazon or other catalogue site.

I still own a few domains, but I did want to repeat as ed stated, you do not actually have to buy a domain.
