Can just ANYONE call a college registrar to see if someone actually graduated from that college?
Can just ANYONE call a university’s registrar office to see if a certain person graduated from that college, or are only employers / those whom the graduate has authorized the college to give that information out to able to check on that?

I’m pretty sure anyone can find out if the person was granted a degree, but no more information can be given without the person signing a release. There has to be a way for potential employers to verify the degrees the person claims to hold.
