That’s funny.

This ‘conscience exemption’ is a shifty and daft request for special treatment – a means to break equality laws and shirk duties in the workplace with a click of one’s fingers simply by stating that you are a Christian. If a business decided it is against their ‘conscience’ to employ/ serve Christians for whatever reason would they have the CI’s support? I don’t think so.

Civil partnerships are legal commitments, and it’s not upto her to decide who gets married and who doesn’t. Who will she want to deny next? Will she be making all straight couples fill in an application form to assess if they have followed Christian values according to Lilian Ladele? Funny how she can’t even commit to so called Christian values herself, she had a child out of wedlock!

I think everyone is forgetting the real victims in this story, and that’s the loving couples who want to make life long commitments to eachother. Lilian Ladele has insulted these people and should be forced to apologise, and fined for wasting tribunal’s time.

Got absolutely no sympathy for her. When you go to work you have to deal with people you don’t like, that’s just life. She is no different to millions of people who go to work every day.

There are laws for incitement to racial and religious hatred, these Christian homophobes can’t have it both ways. Besides, civil partnership is not marriage anyway, so what is she moaning about? Stupid woman. Do your job or lose it, it’s simple.

Quite right! One of the oldest known strands of Christianity, ie the Quakers, are big supporters of full gay marriage equality. She is not being threatened with the sack for simply being a Christian, she is being threatened with the sack for being homophobic – which at the last check is illegal.

Ms Ladele is not simply a Christian, she is a bigot. Not all Christians share her bigoted views. Stop pretending that Christians are being demonised, they are not.

THE point here is that marriage came from God and is between a woman and a man. There are no other issues regarding this matter.

Teaching a gay to count or giving them paracetamol doesn’t endorse their sexual preferences does it?
Such a primitive, black and white, 100% pejorative understanding of descrimination.

She doesn’t marry gay people. Gay people are still able to get married.
Everybody wins.
