When my friend purchased and forced me to watch this, I had no idea it was a Madonna concert until 30 minutes in. I was convinced that I was watching a horrifying zombie movie.

Madonna 3/4 naked on stage at this point in her life…NO! Rating: 1 / 5

I was watching this tour and thought I would buy the bluray/dvd, but once I saw Madonna glorify the worst president in history, the king behind the faux global warming/climate change/aka “what next?” and then the propaganda machine Moore, I decided against the purchase. Bad form, Madonna. Stick to entertainment. You chose all faux political hacks to glorify, and I bet you want to take it all back now. Rating: 1 / 5

Qualifier–have not heard this cd, but was required to rate this item anyway, so gave it one star.

Question–Was getting ready to buy this 2 disc cd set but noticed that 4 of the songs on the 1st disc are repeated again on the 2nd disc. Can anyone explain this? Why pay for multiple repetitive songs? Unless these songs aren’t exactly the same….., but the titles are. Thx. Rating: 1 / 5

This tour is nothing more than an absolute disaster. I have no doubt that if fans had known that this show would be so poor before they bought tickets, I bet many people would have opted to skip it. Madonna tries way too hard this time to be “hip” and “cool” with sleazy costumes and dance moves, and it just looks embarassing – nobody wants to see a 50-something doing that stuff. Even worse, the setlist is terrible – filled with songs from her forgettable album “Hard Candy” and any of the older songs that she sings are butchered and remixed to the point where they are unrecognizeable. I don’t know about you, but I hate remixes and I definitely hate remixes that make the song sound completely different from the original. Lastly, the “choreography” is lazy and cheesy and just a lot of bump and grind that anyone could do.

I find it funny that Madonna’s two best tours – Blonde Ambition and Re-Invention STILL have not been released properly on DVD. If they ever get released, I would recommend getting those instead. Rating: 1 / 5

Top 10 Reasons why this is the worst Madonna Tour, ever.

1)The opening graphics are shockingly cheap and amateur looking.

2)When Madonna appears on stage she has a leg hanging over her chair with her crotch exposed. Classy!

3)Half of the songs are ruined by Madonna screaming the lyrics instead of singing them (MY SUGAR IS RAW! etc.)

4)Kanye West shows up with a non-sensical rap during “beat goes on”. That part of the song should have been cut out.

5)The new arrangements for familiar songs are not good (Into the groove, Music, Ray of Light)

6)”Borderline” is one trip too many to the very old song well. It’s done exactly like “Burning up” and “Material Girl” were for the re-invention tour.

7)Ridiculous vulgarity: she humps everything in sight (dancers, JT videoscreens, and when there’s nothing available, air), she puts her hand down her pants, she flips off the crowd, screams mother f’er several times).

8)Hideous costumes. We actually laughed out loud when we saw her appear on stage for “4 minutes”.

9)Noise does not equal rock-n-roll. “Hung up” will cause blood to flow from your ears.

10)”She’s not me” starts promising, but, devolves into bizarre, violent performance art

3 Reasons to account for the one star rating:

1)The “Vogue/4 minutes” mash up sounds great and is expertly staged.

2)”You must love me/Don’t Cry for Me Argentina” is beautiful.

3)The “Like a Virgin” sing-along is fun.

One reason that goes both ways:

1)”Give it 2 Me” is very well done, with the exception of the “get stupid” breakdown (GET stupid? You are already stupid for including this section in an otherwise fantastic song).

Madonna is a great live performance and her shows are legendary for good reason. Unfortunately that is not evident in this tour. I recommend “Confessions Tour” or “Drowned World” instead.
