Again another book that had a published release date in kindle format. Now it is only available in hard bound and has vanished from the kindle store. I cannot believe that everyone seems to think it is ok for the publishing community to treat you this way. You are the customer!! When they promise a date we whould be holding them to it. The author who is trying to sell her books to you, her fans! is just as much to blame as the rest for letting their greed outpace their ethics. Rating: 1 / 5

Years after the accidental deaths of his wife Hannah and best friend David, Micah remains a dysfunctional soul avoiding relationships as he hides out in the open in Houston. David’s younger sister Angelina misses Micah whom she has loved forever and decides after time at a Miami bondage club to visit him and seduce him so she leaves for Houston. He has doubts but cannot resist the siren of a young woman he used to consider his kid sister.

Angelina begins to learn her beloved’s darkest sexual desires. She uses them to make him want her like she does him. As their need for one another grows into deeper mutual attraction, Micah realizes someone is stalking Angelina; he refuses to allow a third person he loves to be hurt.

The latest “sweet” erotic romance (see Sweet Persuasion and Sweet Seduction) is an enjoyable tale of second chance at life. Until Angelina arrives, Micah is a ghost of what he was when he lost the other two thirds of his ménage a trois. Angelina brings him back to life with her torrid seduction. Readers will enjoy her efforts to sexually prove she is not kid sister as she learns his hidden BDSM desires and brings both his heads alive.

Every year Micah Hudson slips away from his friends. They don’t know where he goes, or what he does. When he returns, he is the same man they know and love and so his friends, while curious, do not question Micah or where he has been. And Micah likes it that way — he doesn’t want his friends to know that where he goes, he goes for redemption. He is just another anonymous person in a crowd of many vying for forgiveness. Then he sees HER; the sister of the man he used to consider one of his closest friends and the feelings that Micah tempers to keep in check come crashing to the forefront.

Angelina has waited and hoped that someday Micah would see her as more than just a kid he used to know. Taking a chance on him recogizing her, Angelina does what she has to do to keep Micah sane. And then he realizes who she is and walks. Angelina can’t let Micah go — he has to know she loves him and not only that, but she is in danger.

DO NOT let Micah’s story, SWEET TEMPTATION, pass you by. Maya Banks has pulled no punches with this highly erotic and spellbinding novel. Micah’s character is nothing short of godlike. He is brave, loyal, and sexy as all get out. He is also very human with human fears, emotions, and miseries. His inability to save the ones he loved years ago has shaped the man he is today. And because of this, Angelina has her work cut out for her. But between you and me, the unconditional love of this enigmatic woman is exactly what Micah needs.

And the rest is gravy. SWEET TEMPTATION is not to be missed — I highly recommend it.

Maya Banks Sweet Series has been one of my two favorite ongoing series for quite some time now. I was very honored that I was sent an ARC of both this book and I also received one for the previous book, Sweet Seduction, Nathan and Julie. I knew that this was going to be a very intense book and I was not disappointed in that. It was very intense; more so then even Sweet Persusion, Damon and Serena.

While Sweet Seduction was a fun, light hearted romp this book, Sweet Temptation, was the total oppisite. Micah and Angelina were both so intense, they both knew what they were and what they both wanted. If you have not read the first three books, please read all of them before you read this one. You must know the origins of Micah to understand why and how this book is as it is. Micah is an Alpha Dom, a sharer, a lover of erotic pain, and intense to the max. Angelina is an Alpha Submissive, also a sharer, a lover of erotic pain and intense to the max. They are each other’s mirror images; two halves two a whole. That is how Ms. Banks, I think, wants you to see them as. This is their journey to each other and coming to terms with their past and it was so increably wonderful to finally see Micah put the past behind him and let it go. Angelina also had to let go of her past, face it and rise above it to finally claim what she has wanted for so long, Micah.

As you might have guessed, I loved this book. While I did enjoy the third book more, this one is a close 2nd followed by Sweett Per, and then the original Sweet Surrender, Faith and Gray. All of them are great books. I will thank my sister forever for introducing me to this series and all of Maya’s books.

Connor will be next, due out one year from now, April 2011 and that book is a go from what Ms. Banks has said on her website. I have heard that she does indeed want to do one more after that and I am hoping that it will go to Cole. He steals every scene he is in in this book, and I as so happy to see more of Connor, as a set up for his book I am sure, and see how much he comes to love Angelina. She brings back all the people from the previous books and there is one very hot scene with Nathan and Julie that tells you what they have been up too. Damon also plays a big part in this book, since he is Micah’s best friend in Houston, that it was wonderful to see him and see how he and Serena are doing. Faith and Gray are great as well.

This an awesome book; but it is very intense. I loved it, but it might not be for everyone. I cannot for Connor next and see what ringer he is going to go through. Connor likes them easy, but I am guessing that will not be the case. Rating: 4 / 5

It seems like I have waited FOREVER for Micah’s story. I think it was worth it. I enjoyed their journey and my heart pulled for Micah as he faced the full gamut of emotions, as his world was turned end over end. Through Angel, he was pushed to deal with his unresolved feelings, fears and desires. I thought Angel was his perfect match! She was fiercely loyal, steadfast, strong, loving and resourceful.

I give it 4.5 stars because I think there could have been a bit more of an emotional connection in one particular group scene but I get where Maya was taking it psychologically and physically; even so, I never felt a lack of caring or safety between the characters, although it was intense. Most importantly Angel seemed to embrace the experience.

As always, I enjoyed revisiting past characters and relationships. The friendships and dedication to each other as a group builds in strength as each story evolves.

Thanks Maya, for another great read! I really hope Cole is in the forefront of the next book! Really want to read more about him! Then again, I really want to read more about Conner too!!! Hope you don’t keep us waiting too long :-) Rating: 5 / 5
